面對全球氣候變遷，全球各國皆積極推動能源轉型、鼓勵降低碳排放量，以維護潔淨生活環境。臺南市黃偉哲市長表示，南市積極提升再生能源的利用，自 2019 年啟動陽光電城 2.0計畫，善用臺南地區優良的日照條件，設置屋頂型及地面型太陽光電，發電量為全國六都之冠，本市博愛國小跟上綠能趨勢，積極發展能源課程，從全國中小學中脫穎而出，榮獲經濟部 110年度「能源教育標竿學校－金獎」殊榮，扎根學校教育，實為推動綠能永續工作的楷模。

教育局鄭新輝局長表示，能源教育屬新課綱重要融入議題之一，本局積極推動綠能及能源議題融入課程教學及教材發展，並強化師生對於「淨零排放」及「節能、創能、儲能」等能源議題之重要性。博愛國小利用學校國際英語村的優勢特色，帶領學生獨立思考各面向議題，結合雙語教學及鏈結生活實踐行動等，透過觀察、討論和實作等有趣的教學方法，指導學生從做中學，培養「節能減碳愛護地球」的正確觀念，期許本市國中小能共同參與能源教育的推動。

博愛國小張慧芬校長表示，學校自 109 年主動申請教育部潔能系統整合應用人才培育計畫「能源 E博 S」方案，並由學校多位具英語能力、數理化工和課程設計的能力的教師組成優異團隊，更受邀參加本市 2021 全臺首學課程博覽會的教學及展示。學校能源課程設計符合各年級的「閱讀減碳生活模組」、「生質能生生不息」及「綠建築綠色魔法屋」等不同的課程模組，延續 Dewater Energy Education Workshop 中提供教學素材開發轉化為本市能源素養教案，設計出適合臺灣的 K-12PBL 能源素養教育課程，而非著重在知識及評量方式為主的課程，培養博愛國小的學生具備實踐行動及解決問題之能力。

教育局表示，為共同推動淨零碳排及綠能永續之目標，持續辦理智慧節電插座、發電腳踏車改裝研發、能源劇團演出及公民行動方案等多項計畫，積極協助培育學校能源師資及課程發展，也希望透過博愛國小推動能源教育的案例分享，將省電、節能、減碳的觀念深化人心，啟發本市師生共同響應本市綠能永續發展之理念。
