行動英語村叫好 服務 1.4 萬學童 2015-12-09

外籍教師上課方式生動有趣，很受學童歡迎

 

為落實臺南市推動「英語為第二官方語言」十年計畫，推廣英語教育，教育局自一○四年度起正式啟動「行動英語村」，以學甲國小、博愛國小及新進國小三校為行動車基地，分三區巡迴至各校服務，截至目前為止，共服務兩百九十二校、七百一十四班、近一萬四千名學生。

 

　「行動英語村」的課程內容設計不僅包括臺南市卅的「在地文化內涵」、「棒球文化」、「食育教材」及「節慶文化」，所有課程均雲端化，讓師生可自行於英語村網站下載。另車輛內部備有觸控式液晶螢幕等影音設備，使教學更加互動化、活潑化，並有多達兩百多冊英語繪本與藏書。

 

　由於目前僅有博愛國小設有國際英語村，為了提升全市學生英語能力，教育局採用行動巡迴服務方式，藉以建構全面性的英語學習行動網絡，也期盼「行動英語村」的啟用，能夠縮短英語教學資源上的城鄉差距，發揮英語教學的最大效益。

 

　教育局表示，每處行動英語村配置兩名外籍教師、兩名村幹事，於週一、二、四、五由一名村幹事搭載一名外師至學校教學，每日每班級進行兩堂課，由外師以生動有趣的影音設備教材及豐富的肢體語言進行全英語課程，鼓勵孩子開口說英語，顛覆傳統的戶外行動教學模式，推出後叫好又叫座。

 

因應二○一五ＷＢＳＣ世界盃少棒賽在臺南市舉行，教育局也特別招募國小四年級至國中三年級學生擔任棒球英語小志工，從六百多位參選學生中選出八十八位，由英語村的外師進行英語培訓，並加強其對棒球知識、臺南文化及參賽之十二國文化的了解。比賽期間，這群小志工還擔任親善大使，協助來台參賽的國外小選手更認識臺南。
